Yew Tree Cottage is located in the rural hamlet and valley of Harescombe. The area is renowned for its country charm and tranquillity, steeped in history stretching back to the English civil war and beyond.

A stones throw from the cottage, stands the 13th Century St. John the Baptist Church. A grade II* listed building, with its table-top tombs and unique civil war graffiti dating back to the 1600s.

Across the valley, is the famous Cotswold Way trail providing panoramic views from Haresfield Beacon over the Severn Valley and beyond to the Black Mountains 

The village of Painswick known as the "The Queen of the Cotswolds" is famous for its narrow lanes, Cotswold Stone buildings and the Rococo Gardens, a ten minute drive.

Roman and spa towns of Cirencester and Cheltenham are nearby within a short drive.

Retail therapy is best found in Stroud with it's award winning farmers market or at the Gloucester Quays retail outlet, both within ten a minute drive. Gloucester is famous for it's Cathedral and its recent Harry Potter connection.

Yew Tree Cottage is accessible within three miles drive from the M5 motorway making it the perfect location for those wishing to unwind and relax and explore the local area. Or for those requiring a nights rest on a long journey.
